After , well almost, diving around the world I came across this amazing dive centre called Aplha divers at Larnaca, Cyprus
We did 4 dives. 2 on Zenobia wreck (one of those wrecks where you could just do dive after dive and than do another dive on it) and 2 in Cape Greko tunnels and caves (small tunnels and cave systems suitable also for recreational divers - nice relaxed and shallow dive). Whole experience runs very organized and relaxed. We will definitely come back for more diving with them. Service: 5* Equipment: 5* Staff: 5* Owner: 5* Overall experience: 5*+ Highly recommended!
At the beginning of this month our group of 12 divers had a fantastic weeks diving with Chris and Alpha Divers. We were diving twin 12’s and 7 litre stage cylinders (100% O2 for deco). All was hired from the well stocked dive shop. Chris and his guides did a great job ensuring that we managed to dive many of the key areas of the wreck. A great week that I would thoroughly recommend to any group that wants to explore the Zenobia. Up there with our clubs best dive holidays.
Best Diving Experience ever for me in Cyprus! This trip was very last minute for me. I have stayed in various locations in Cyprus since 2016, and I had previously dived the Zenobia. The communication with Alpha-Divers prior to my arrival was excellent. Unfortunately, I am that person that asked a lot of questions, but answers were promptly replied to and in detail. My angle is if you do not ask, then you don’t get. I had a lot of issues with my equipment on a recent trip in Egypt back in May this year, which I mentioned to Chris before my arrival. On my first day I had two dives with Instructor Sam on the Elpida and Zenobia. I have completed 230 dives, but it is always good practice to check and be open if you are not sure with any equipment issues. Thank You Sam, and thank you Chris for acknowledging my concerns. I then had another 9 days to enjoy, and OMG did I enjoy them!!!! The instructors Sam, Nerys, and Shaun are both hard working, knowledgeable and as a bonus good fun. Safety is number one with this Dive Centre, both at the Centre and especially on the boat. My first 5 days on the boat were shared with 10 Tec Divers, with a lot of equipment. The days were amazing, everything worked liked clockwork. Everyone mucked in and looked after each other following the PADI Guidelines, but most of all just enjoying their holiday and diving. Everyone would share their dive experience regardless of experience. This attitude and sharing of knowledge opened my eyes and understanding into TEC Diving, which is something I now want to pursue. Chris was and is an excellent Skipper, and his safety conscience attitude is exceptional. As a person who is looking at climbing the ladder within diving, I can honestly say that Chris will be my go-to person for advice and guidance. Hands down this has been my best diving holiday to date, which over 12 years is saying something! And to dive the Zenobia everyday was amazing, fun, and most of all Safe. There is a review titled ‘The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly’. I shared a dive with this diver and witnessed the situation on the boat with the Skipper Chris. In my view it was bad timing to create tension on a boat between dives. Every diving trip I have had is with different levels of diving experience. I like to have the comfort that there is always someone that has got my back regardless of experience. I do not have a problem with anyone checking that my air is on, and I would not take offence. My attitude to diving is to assist when required, and accept assistance or help even if it is not required. This is just my my opinion from someone on holiday enjoying the diving. The safety at Alpha -Divers for the Zenobia is orientation first to evaluate safety, before penetration with further dives. Please do not feel disappointed if you cannot penetrate your dive on Day 1. Plan your trip over 2 - 3 days to get the best out of diving this amazing Wreck!!! As mentioned previously in this review I was looked after from Day one.. Every concern I voiced was listened to and dealt with professionally and promptly. After my experience diving with Alpha-Divers I can honestly say I would not dive with another Centre in Cyprus again. I completed my Divemaster Certification in 2016. My diving improved over the 12 days I was in Cyprus. COVID played a big part in my directional opportunities, so unfortunately I did not dive for over 3 years. My goal now is to achieve my TEC 40 and 45……….And then who knows
