Hello from Cyprus Taste Tours! We're a small team of true foodies and our activities focus on discovering Cyprus through food & wine... You’ll be driven into the Troodos mountains through carefully selected villages to visit 5 traditional product workshops and taste a variety of Cypriot delicacies. One of these stops will be a winery plus a visit to the scenic Chrysorrogiatissa Monastery. You'll experience foods* such as halloumi, village bread, wine, donkey milk, honey and traditional sweets. We'll pick you up from a Paphos location of your choice. Our team guarantees you a fantastic day out - we'll make the most of your time with us and take you on a bespoke journey through Cyprus villages. Established in 2011 - we're confident we know all the best spots and we never stop exploring! We're all fully trained in the traditional foods and wine of the island and you'll be sure to receive a professional, 5 star experience. Troodos Mountains
1 hr - We'll take you on a journey to explore Cyprus through the Troodos mountain villages, tasting authentic foods and meeting true locals. Most of the spots included on this day out are listed below however as we aim to visit true locals on our tours the listed spots below are subject to change due to the season and the schedules of our hosts etc. However, we guarantee that every stop included has been carefully selected and meets our high standards.

Chloraka
45 min - In Chloraka village we'll visit a family making delicious honey and other bee products. You'll enjoy a tour of the premises and a tasting of their products!

Chrysorrogiatissa Monastery
45 min - We'll take a look at the history of wine in Cyprus at this beautiful and scenic location! You'll also enjoy a tasting of the famous sweet wine 'Commandaria' made in Cyprus. This wine has a 5000yr old history in Cyprus and holds 2 Guinness World Records!

1 hr - We'll stop in Polemi Village* for a traditional meze lunch with drinks - all included in your tour price! *The village and taverna is subject to change depending on the final route.

1 hr - Next is a look into the modern wine scene of Cyprus! Here we'll enjoy a tour of the winery and then sit down for a tasting of Mr. Tsangarides wines - famous for his organic range!

45 min - This village is famous for its traditional Cyprus delights and here we'll stop to try these along with other sweets and treats! Again we'll explore the making process behind the products and meet the families continuing these special traditions!

Amazing trip Last Friday I joined the tour Behrai Hetrodos of Paphos First the instructor who also drove She was amazing, nice and professional She was attentive to the group and gave advice to make it pleasant I really enjoyed and hope to join more routes again

Amazing food and wine tour in Troodos mountains villages with Elena.

Everything was exactly as promised and much more. Elena picked us from our hotel on time. She was very nice and knowledgeable and we had a lot of conversations during the trip. All the places were very special and tasty and we even purchased some stuff to take back home. It's obvious that Elena loves her work and she does it with a lot of joy. During the trip, Elena took a lot of pictures of us, so we will have a lot of memories from this trip. All the places, we visited were very local and authentic that we could not visit by ourselves. Very recommended day trip while you are in Paphos!

Wonderful food and culture tour in the Troodos Mountains

This is a wonderful food and travel experience and Elena is a warm, caring, fun guide. She picked me up on time from my hotel in Limassol and we drove to the Cyprus Air Force Base to pick up the rest of the participants. From there it was up to the Troodos Mountains and stops learning and sampling cheese, olive oil and all kinds of tasty foods. Elena is an engaging hostess, keeping everyone interested in the tour and our comfort, even reminding me to take a jacket on our last stop as evening fell and the sun set! When I mentioned on the way to my hotel my fondness for baklava, she stopped at a local bakery and surprised me with a large piece of this delectable treat! Highly recommended.

Excellent day out in Paphos

This was an excellent day out and I highly recommend it. From the start you could tell it was going to be a personal and engaging tour. The communication was spot on from as soon as I made the booking - the team responded to my questions about dietary requirements very quickly. I was emailed detailed information about the day and picked up from the hotel as promised at 9.00 (just before actually!) by my host, Myra. I was with two other couples in a comfortable vehicle. Myra was just so brilliant: warm, engaging, larger than life and really knows her stuff about the island. Our first stop was the infamous Aphrodite Delights sweet shop to sample traditional sweets and treats, followed by a visit to a local museum, where we learnt about and saw ancient textiles, materials and fabrics amongst other things. After that, a short drive to taste the most delicious Halloumi (via an impromptu stop to see olive oil being made!) I was unsure about our next stop, but it was brilliant. We arrived at Elaiones Stagona with its fantastic view for olive oil tasting! We tried different olive oils, pastes and jams - and they had even catered for my gluten free requirements with more bread than I could possibly eat! We then visited an ancient monastery, before enjoying a plentiful lunch. Finishing off our day was wine tasting at Tsangarides Winery in an exquisite location. After a short tour of the facilities, we sampled locally produced wine and had a lot of laughs in our group. I was back at the hotel around 5.30/6pm. It really was a superb day, Myra was the perfect guide and I would definitely recommend it to you if you're thinking of enjoying a guided day out in Paphos.

Great day out

A very fun and interesting tour. Elena is an excellent guide, provides a lot of interesting information and keeps a good atmosphere on the way all the time. The organization was good and everything went according to the plan. I recommend this tour.
